Catfish Minnows

Monday July 14, 2008

Have you ever seen a big bucket of black catfish minnows?  No?  Check out this video

Deb’s daughter, Ellie & Emma were catching them with their hands.  Just reaching into the water and scooping them up.  It’s on the video.  Crazy how many there were.  The water was black because of all of them.  Cheri’s daughter, Jamie is the one taping and narrating.

Why were they catching them? I dunno. I guess they thought it was awesome. Deb & Jamie were giving me lots of peer pressure to hold one. As if I would ever succumb to peer pressure.

Besides, I told them that my life would gain no value from holding one and so I was not going to do it. It was neat to see them all though. Really crazy that they caught so many with their bare hands.

  2. When we were up in WI (Birchwood?) there were so many bluegill in the lake, my sister was able to catch them in a bucket… Crazy!!

That’s funny Random! We love to eat bluegill and specks. Course, they have to be keepers in order to make it worthwhile. Perch is great too, especially fresh from Lake MI.
