Always and forever

I’m not sure if you were aware or not, but the wedding of the century happened on Friday.

Emma received her invitation last Monday.  It would be a formal affair and she should dress accordingly.  She needed to make a very special card and clear her schedule for the big event.  The joining of Mr. Q & Ms. U was going to be a really big deal for her kindergarten class but I had no idea just how big it was going to be.

I arrived to her classroom to see that seats had been set up for the ceremony.  Children had been selected for ushers and they did their jobs accordingly.  Emma was picked as a bridesmaid, in fact I believe she was the matron of honor.  Both of the kindergarten classes were in attendance as well as all the other letter people.  It had been rumored that Mr. I would have to miss the wedding due to a scheduling conflict but much to the relief of the children, he was able to make it.

Off to the fun reception

The ceremony went beautifully.  The typical wedding songs were played on the piano as the procession made their way down the aisle.  Ms. U said her vows & Mr. Q said his, then it was time for the audience to agree to always support the union of Q & U.  To always follow Q with his faithful partner, U.  It was a touching moment and the kids giggled when Q&U kissed.

Next was the reception.  As with all weddings, there was a cake celebrating the joyous day.  It was decorated so nicely and yummy as well.

Aren’t they so perfect for each other?

Then the children all went outside to form a receiving line.  Glitter and bubbles were handed out and then the happy couple came through on their wagon, complete with tooling and pop cans tied to the back.  The children all said their goodbyes as the newlyweds went by, on their way to their honeymoon in Quebec.  Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Qu.  You truly do make a lovely couple.

Goodbye Mr. & Mrs. Qu

Have a great time on your honeymoon in Quebec!!!
